Strawberry Bricks Entry:
The progressive era wasn't exclusive to Western Europe, though being a rock band under communism was no easy feat. Hailing from Budapest, Hungary, Omega was one such band that managed to not only break through the iron curtain, but also the language barrier of their native Uralic tongue. Formed as early as 1962, they made their way through the 60s performing covers, and even managed to secure a UK release on Decca under the name Omega Red Star. Released in 1968, From Hungary offers an album that is mostly sung in English.
