Band/Artist Bio
Far East Family Band

The definitive Japanese space rock band, originally called "Far Out". Klaus Schulze mixed the well known Nipponjin album, a re-recording of previous material, and the excellent Parallel World, the later at Virgin's Manor Studio. Also, Kitaro, venerable new age artist had his start here.

Stomu Yamashta's Go

Daring to combine progressive, fusion and electronic sounds, this supergroup fronted by Japanese percussionist Stomu Yamashta included such luminiaries as Steve Winwood, Klaus Schulze and Al DiMeola.

Yamash'ta, Stomu

Classically-trained percussionist from Japan, Stomu Yamash'ta's career jumps between the avant-garde, traditional Japanese music, progressive jazz-rock and later in his career, soundtrack and new-age type music. For the progressive music fan, Come to the Edge, Eastwind and Go are not to be missed.
