Strawberry Bricks Entry:
Taking their name from a late 70s incarnation of the legendary Hawkwind, The Hawklords burst into the limelight in 2009 with a memorial benefit concert to Barney Bubbles, the graphic artist responsible for much of Hawkwind’s 70s image, including the 1973 Space Ritual and 1978 Hawklords tours. The band was spearheaded by two original Hawkwords, keyboardists Harvey Bainbridge and Steve Swindells, augmented by two members of the late 90s Hawkwind, vocalist Ron Tree and guitarist Jerry Richards, and Adrian Shaw, bassist with Hawkwind in the mid to late 70s.

Arthur Brown

Another artist going the Pledgemusic route:
"Help raise the funds needed for one last album from the God of Hellfire himself, Arthur Brown."

Marillion release Brave Live 2013

Marillion have released another version of their epic album Brave, recorded earlier in the year, on multiple formats:
"Recorded on the 9 March 2013 at the Marillion Weekend in Centre Parcs, The Netherlands. This concert film features the whole of the Brave album performed in full plus over an hour of encores and extras. This unique event was captured in glorious high definition by 15 cameras in a purpose built arena, bringing you a truly unique event and a defining moment in Marillion’s live performance career."
It's one of my favorite albums, just can't enough of it!

Hawkwind Postpones US Tour until March 2014

Just in, Hawkwind has postponed their upcoming US tour due to Dave Brock's ill health, their statement from Facebook:

"As many of you will now be aware, Dave was taken ill a couple of weeks ago. Doctors have confirmed that his condition is stress related, aggravated by the trademark dispute in the United States which could result in years of litigation.

After enduring a series of tests, Dave has now been advised that it could be dangerous to his health to embark on a grueling 14,000 mile tour at this time.

King Crimson #8 lineup announced

Writing on his (not yet published) dairy for September 24th Fripp notes "The Point Of Crim-Seeing was of a conventional Back Line – Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin, Tony Levin and Pat Matstelotto - reconfigured as the Front Line, with Mel Collins, Jakko Jakszyk and myself as Back Line."
